As we all know Katrina Kaif played Salman’s love interest in Yuvraaj but the serene beauty was missing from the promotional event and rather another new babe was seen on his arm. She is his new heroine Zarine Khan who resemblance very much like Katrina Kaif. Kat was away from the event as she was busy shooting for Raj Kumar Santoshi’s film at Yash Raj Studios till late that evening.

Any new entrant is usually kept hidden from media but Salman has showcases Zarine to all present during the event to get their feedback as does she look like Katrina. A source said, "Salman had an exclusive trial for close family and friends at Globus on Thursday night. Salman introduced Zarine to everyone present, but he also kept asking them if she looked like Katrina. The two seemed very comfortable with each other.”

Zarine Khan will play his leading lady in his next flick Veer. Present on the occasion were most of Sallu’s family members, including Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan, Arpita Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Tulip Joshi, Bhushan Kumar and wife Divya, Rocky S, Anil Sharma, Sneha Ullal, Sajid Nadiadwala, Sophie Chowdery, Manish Goswami and his wife and Adnan Sami.

Everyone actually accepted Katrina with Salman but the actor has surprised all by walking in with Zarine.

Katrina finally talks about spat between Salman and Shah Rukh

Katrina Kaif has spoken about the fight between her boyfriend Salman Khan and mega-star Shah Rukh Khan.

Talking to an Indian newspaper, the British babe says, “See, whatever happened was between the two of them. I wasn’t involved. Both have come out in the open and spoken about it to the media. But out at the end of the day, they’re senior professionals from the film industry and they have been around much longer than I have.”

Katrina made this statement amidst rumours that she has signed up for a Yash Raj film opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

Arbaaz Khan chooses Katrina over wife Malaika

Arbaaz Khan is all set to start his own production house. He has decided to cast his elder brother's love interest Katrina Kaif in his first movie. Now who will be disappointed by Arbaaz's decision of casting Katrina and not them? It's none other than his beloved better half Malaika Arora Khan. Everyone is aware of the fact that Malaika doesn't get along with her brother-in-law's girlfriend at all. And quite apparently hubby Arbaaz's decision has disappointed her big time.

According to sources, "Malaika was supposed to be the lead heroine in Arbaaz’s first film as producer. But with the recent success achieved by Katrina, Arbaaz has decided that it would be a better option for him to take Katrina Kaif for the lead role."

The sources add by saying, "As one would expect this has not gone down well with Malaika who is now threatening to leave him if he does the intended. Malaika does not see Katrina Kaif eye to eye and it is common knowledge that the two girls share cold vibes."

We'd suggest Arbaaz not to risk his decade old love for the sake of casting Katrina.

Salman plays prank with Katrina

When Salman and Katrina made an appearance on a TV show recently, the crew were surprised to see Salman Khan ragging Katrina by repeatedly asking her to say 'tagda' as she cannot pronounce many Hindi words (the language is still new to her).

Says a source close to Katrina, "Though Katrina's Hindi diction is improving, she sometimes still fumbles over some words. On the show Salman kept asking Katrina to repeat the word tagda. Even when the camera was turned off, he wouldn't let Katrina get up from her seat till she said it. Poor Katrina went red in the face in front of the crew and the live audience."

Katrina, who is currently shooting in Goa for Raj Kumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani says, "Salman fools around with his friends and me 24 hours a day. As if he knows how to say 'tagda' himself properly!" she laughs. "Even during the shooting of Yuvvraaj, Salman would play pranks on me. I would practise playing the cello and striking the chords in sync with a real orchestra and Salman thought I was taking too much interest in it

Suddenly he would come up, grab the cello from me and make a big show of how to play it without having a clue about how to play! He clowned around while the musicians in the orchestra looked on in horror!"

Katrina plays a cello player in Yuvvraaj, while Salman is a background singer in the orchestra. The actress, who has paired up with Salman after a long break says, "What I like about Salman and my romance in Yuvvraaj is the fact that Subhashji (Ghai) didn't try and show fake romance but created real and spontaneous moments. That will be the surprise element in the film." When asked if she and Salman would feature again in Subhash Ghai's next film Katrina says, "I really don't know.

Aishwarya Rai kept under high security

Bollywood diva Aishwarya Bachchan is kept under tight security and director Mani Ratnam is making sure that no one from the media or her fans views the look donned by the diva for his flick Ravana where Ash is playing the character of Sita.

Mani always make sure not to release any pictures of his movies before the release. The shooting been held in the forest area is helping the director’s cause as no cars could reach the site and they need to travel in jeeps.

Arriving in cars, the stars get into jeeps for the final journey to the shooting spot. Even at this changeover point, Aishwarya is covered with a blanket or umbrella.

Well, it seems to be a z-level security for the actress.

Salman-Katrina burn the television

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif (who both star in Yuvvraaj) showed up on the sets of Zee TV's 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009'. Since Yuvvraaj releases on November 21st, Sallu and Kat decided to wing it on the telly. Salman was his usual charming and flamboyant self and Katrina was glamorous and bootylicious as ever. They started out with casual conversations and then on to the regular Sallu jokes, much to the joy of everyone on the sets.

Salman did a salsa jig with one of the contestants, Pratibha, and also played cupid between her and Salman. To crown it all he made Himesh Reshammiya the butt of all his jokes. The participants were in splits. And to add the icing, he even took a nudge at Katrina for her horrendous Hindi.

Sallu may have made fun of Katrina in good spirits, but there won't quite be high spirits when they go home. Katrina is very sensitive about her Hindi and jokes are met with bitter cold stares. Leaving all that aside, one little thing haunts me - What in the world is wrong with Katrina's midriff?? Is she pregnant? Or has she just put on a little weight? Or is it that dress? Go figure...

How Ash, Katrina had the last laugh

When best-seller Interview with the Vampire-The Vampire Chronicles was adapted into a movie, its author Anne Rice vocally expressed her displeasure over director Neil Jordan's casting of Tom Cruise as the blood-sucking Lestat.

Still, Cruise played against type masterfully, compelling Rice to take back her words. Apparently, she couldn't have asked for a better actor to play Lestat.

Case 2: A lot of hue and cry was made over Casino Royale's producers' decision to sign on Daniel Craig to step into the shoes of Agent 007. Everybody thought he was too 'bland' to play James Bond. Once Casino Royale hit the screens, it went on to do phenomenal business worldwide as well as earned critical and public acclaim for Craig's nifty, nuanced portrayal of the beloved British agent.

Nothing succeeds like success. Katrina Kaif knows this only too well.

Scared that real life couples haven’t fared too well at the box office?

SALMAN:
Somehow I always feel there’s something very forced when I see real couples acting together. We must not forget we are catering to an Indian audience and too much of intimacy… like sizzling hot scenes together, don’t go well with families. We must not go overboard simply because we are a couple in real life.
KATRINA:
If the script’s good, it works, no matter how great the chemistry you share on screen or off it. Kareena and Shahid proved it, they had a great script in Jab We Met.

film, I adore one scene where Salman puts a garland on me. It’s so natural, you can see it on my face.

Is Salman romantic?

KATRINA:
No! He is not romantic at all. He keeps it all for the screen. I want to go on holidays, but he says it’s boring to be alone together. He hates candle-light dinners. He wants his food to be ready on the table when he reaches a restaurant. I think he likes to be surrounded by people. He is so unromantic!

Is Katrina hot or cute?

SALMAN:
She’s, well, nice.

Do you guide Katrina with acting tips?

SALMAN:
That’s not my job. The director does a good job of it.

KATRINA:
I don’t believe in Prince Charming. I’m 24, and I’m beginning to accept people’s flaws. Nobody is perfect. But I believe in respect in a relationship, I would like my partner to be able to make me laugh, and I need to trust him. These days, you cannot completely rely on trust. You have to go by your hunch.

Who, in your book, is the most beautiful woman?

SALMAN:
I have met different types of beauty at different given times. Whoever I have gone out with, or I am going out with now, is the one.

And the most good looking man?

KATRINA:
I used to think models were drop dead good-lookers. But today I cherish a complete personality. Salman and I had an instant connection when we met. I thought he was a striking personality.

Katrina defies Salman and dances on stage with Shah Rukh

Salman Khan’s girlfriend Katrina Kaif defied her beau’s orders and went on stage with his rival Shah Rukh Khan in Dubai for the Temptations Reloaded concert.

The stage was set alight and fans were in awe as the babe from England danced to hit tunes from her super-hit films Race, Partner and Singh Is Kinng. Katrina took part in the show even though she was on strict orders from Salman Khan not to take the stage. Unlike his previous girlfriends, Katrina has never adhered to any of Salman Khan’s demands; keeping sure that her career comes before stupidity.

Priyanka said, “I love to do films that have me in important roles and not where I am used just as a prop. I don’t see any reason to do films where I have 4-5 songs and 15-20 scenes just because they are touted to be commercial successes. What is the point of acting in such films and giving seven back to back hits? That doesn’t make you grow as an actress!”
Getting more venomous she further added, “I may have delivered a few flops but even those had me playing important roles. I have not and will never act in films where my role is inconsequential and that my only job in those films is to look pretty.”

All these clearly hint at taking on Katrina Kaif who has delivered 7 back to back hits in hero centric subjects with her roles in all the films right from Namastey London to Singh Is Kinng being almost negligible. Her only job was to bring in the glamour quotient to these films. Priyanka who debuted in Bollywood in 2002 is a year senior to Katrina who debuted in the doomed Boom which released in 2003. Though director Ghai has rubbished the possibility of Katrina having grown into a greater star phenomenon than apna Sallu, but what is visible sure beats all clarifications. To see is to believe, then should we?

Unperturbed by the current financial situation worldwide, Bollywood stars’ acting fee continues to soar. Katrina Kaif has reportedly signed two projects for an unprecedented fee of over Rs. 35 million!

The actress boasts of many back-to-back hits and is now considered a crowd puller by Bollywood producers, though her acting skills (or the lack thereof) have been much debated. Of the two projects, the first is by Abbas- Mastan duo in whose last hit film Race, Katrina played a scheming secretary. The other project is said to be a Hollywood flick.

Katrina knows exactly what she wants

Katrina Kaif was shooting for Subhash Ghai's Yuvvraaj at the world famous Swavroski showroom in Austria recently. Known for its landmark jewellery and showpieces, unit members began teasing Katrina saying that the rare crystal pieces would catch her attention more and the shooting work less.

'What piece of jewellery should I buy for myself? What piece would best adorn my home?' were the questions, the unit members were adjudging as surely must have troubled Katrina. But surprise, surprise! Katrina was only focused on her work. Her attention was completely on the scene that was being shot.

'Not even once did Katrina's attention get drifted towards the showpieces and the jewellery. She was completely immersed in her work. She was 'crystal' clear about her career. Anybody in her place would have easily given into the temptation of walking around the beautifully decorated store and shopped like a maniac. But not Katrina," Unit members said.

The unit members decided to honour Katrina's dedication towards her work. "We bought a gift from Swavroski for Katrina and presented it to her after the shooting got over. She was touched by our gesture," a unit member revealed smilingly.

The unit member also added, "Swarvroski usually do not allow any shooting to take place in their stores. But made an exception for Subhash Ghai's film. They even kept the store shut that particular day. And thousands gathered to watch the shooting of the film."

Katrina concentrates on work, gets rewarded with Swarovsky!

Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif has displayed one of the qualities that has hurled her to stardom. While shooting for Subhash Ghai’s ‘Yuvraaj’ in the famed Swarovski showroom in Austria, the actress didn’t get distracted by the glittering display around her even for a moment, and impressed all present there by her dedication towards work.

Director Subhash Ghai was, of course, very happy with her single-minded sincerity for her work, and also the crewmembers were not left unmoved. When any woman would have given in to the desire to walk around buying or viewing the fantastic jewelry and crystal pieces around her, Katrina stuck to paying full attention to her work.

The commendable act of this Bollywood beauty made the crewmembers gift her a Swarovsky piece. Visibly moved holding the glittering gift, Katrina thanked them all!

Katrina Kaif is famous cellist

Bollywood actresses seem to have developed a great likeliness for musical aspects. Aishwarya Rai is down there vividly learning carnatic music. Well, Katrina Kaif has turned to be an expertise in playing Cello. Merely, these two missies were fond of music, but it was their directors who urged them to master it. Aishwarya Rai geared up with Mani Rathnam's bilingual project dons the role of an Orthodox Brahmin girl and to suit the character, she is mastering Carnatic Ragas. Fine! So what was so compelling for Katrina Kaif to learn Cello? 'Obviously, it was for her musical flick 'Yuvvraaj' directed by Subash Ghai and donning the role of cellist, Katrina felt it was worthy learning it. "I used to be more jealous when musicians used to tune such innovative tunes" said Katrina Kaif who has moderately mastered the instrument.

"Anil Kapoor and Subash Ghai apprehended me saying it's not the tunes you play, but your facial expression counts on the screen" added Katrina who continued that Salman Khan used to say it wasn't so difficult playing this instrument and he would do it with ease.

Why pairing with Ranbir is so special for Katrina

Katrina Kaif it is said has signed a two film deal with UTV recently.

The first film will be directed by director duo Abbas Mustan while the details of the second film is being worked on. The actress had earlier signed a deal with Studio 18 too.

Recently, rumors were abuzz about Katrina Kaif being offered a dance reality show on a leading television channel.

A source revealed, "Katrina's popularity is growing larger and larger by the day. Not only is she topping all the opinion polls and popularity charts, she's also being offered whopping amounts of money for endorsements, films, what have you and now the latest being a TV show.

A news report claimed that Katrina had already given the nod to this TV show as she was being offered a multi- crore deal. It is true that she's besieged with offers and she has turned down many. She has no dates to spare for new films as she is busy shooting nonstop for the biggest of banners."

After so many success to her credit the actress is looking forward to Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani where she is paired opposite Ranbir Kapoor for the first time.

"I am looking forward to this film since this is the first time I have been paired opposite someone of my age" says Katrina. Then there's Subhash Ghai's Yuvraaj opposite Salman Khan.

Katrina Kaif signed by big Hollywood studio, actress leaving Bollywood

Making raves in Bollywood, the sensual Katrina Kaif has now been signed up by a big Hollywood studio for an English film.

Says a source, “Kat has agreed to start in a major Hollywood production opposite a big name star. Not much else is known about this deal but Kat was offered a large sum and immediately accepted.”

If this is indeed true, then it seems us Bollywood fans might just lose Katrina Kaif a little too soon.
