The miracle that got Hrithik Roshan dancing!

Hrithik Roshan had almost given up hope that his injury-prone knee would ever heal fully when a miracle happened and got the handsome star dancing again.

The Bollywood star had been living with perpetual pain in his knee for two years and had tried various types of therapies, but none really helped. His predicament was compounded by the fact that he had to be fully fit to play the lead role in dad Rakesh Roshan’s home production Kites . Hrithik plays a dance instructor in the film.

Before beginning to shoot the movie in the US, Hrithik tried all last-minute remedies to heal his knee fully. Among them was a new but not-yet-legalized therapy in which needles had to be stuck in his knee joint and platelets to be inserted into his knees. Though the therapy provided him relief, but the pain still remained.

Hrithik says there even came a point when he doubted if he could do justice to his role in ‘Kites’ and asked his dad Rakesh Roshan to sign another actor. But the Roshan senior and director Anurag Basu decided to wait and let Hrithik’s knee heal more.

Finally, when the schedule for US was chalked out, Hrithik was anxious. The very first scene to be shot was an action scene.

Miraculously, on the morning of the first day of the shoot Hrithik woke up to find the pain in his knee gone.

“It’s a kind of miracle,” Hrithik is quoted as saying.

The actor says all the remedies and therapies he went through came together one day and his knee was healed.

Now, Hrithik says he can dance better than before. Why? Because he doesn’t take his knee for granted. In fact, the nimble-footed star is in the process of shooting a dance number for ‘Kites’. The song has been choreographed by Flexy, who, as the name suggests, is known for his tough dance steps. But Hrithik’s not worried. He CAN dance, saala.

‘Kites’ is a love story starring Hrithik with Barbara Mori and Kangana Ranaut .

Hrithik to work with his dream director Sanjay Leela Bhansali?

Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan is reportedly all set to work with the talented director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, whom he had always desired to work with. Reports reveal that the superstar gave a ‘yes’ to the filmmaker, when he approached Hrithik for his next project.

However, there has not been any official confirmation of the deal from Hrithik’s side. His business manager neither denied nor confirmed the actor’s commitment to the role. Not much has been revealed about Sanjay’s forthcoming film but evidently, if Hrithik is playing a character then the film would surely be exceptional, as the actor is extremely choosy about the films he does.

Hrithik is presently shooting for his home-production ‘Kites’ in Los Angeles. He will be back in Mumbai with his team on October 12 after which he would resume in accordance to Mumbai schedule.

Hrithik's hairy tales!

Hrithik Roshan is another actor who has jumped onto the bandwagon of stars who strongly believe in 'method acting'. They not only change their appearances but also believe in delivering authenticity to the extent that they prefer performing every scene by themselves!

Hrithik who has sported a moustache in Jodhaa Akbar, a tan in Dhoom 2 will now be sporting a beard in Kites! A unit hand of the film revealed, "Hrithik will have a thin moustache and beard in Kites. The actor is looking as great as ever in the look. He has also lost weight to look fitter. He also insists on performing all the stunts by himself."

If rumours are to be believed the film is based on Hollywood film 'Match Point'. The film has been film mostly shot in Mexico and Las Vegas and has Kangana Ranaut and Barbara Mori as Hrithik's co-stars...

Bobby walks out of 'Kites'

The flight of the Kites was disrupted by a mere difference of opinion that blew out of proportion.

The shooting of the highly awaited movie of Hrithik Roshan titled as 'Kites' which is under production suffered a setback as the director of photography walked out of the project.

Cinematographer Bobby Singh got offended and left the sets as Rakesh Roshan shouted at him in front of all the crew members.

'Kites' is being directed by the critically acclaimed director Anurag Basu and Bobby Singh who has been part of his team for a long time has worked with the director in 'Metro', 'Who Lamhe' and 'Gangster'.

Anurag always gives Bobby complete freedom while working and it seems that Rakesh Roshan was trying to implement his own ideas regarding the camera angles and lighting from the day one of the shooting.

The final nail was fixed as Roshan Sr. got angry when Bobby did not agree with him on going for a shot with a particular camera angle.

Rakesh Roshan was unyielding and insisted on the angle of his choice while Bobby also kept his opinion firm without compromising.

Hrithik clone Harman Baweja gets offer of film from Farhan Akhtar

He may be a Hrithik Roshan clone and his first film a major Box Office flop, but newcomer Harman Baweja is getting some good offers… read on!

Apart from Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ashutosh Gowarikar signing up the Love Story 2050 actor, we now hear that Farhan Akhtar has also approached him. Says a source, “Farhan has been working on a script for a long time and had Harman in mind for the part. He met the actor and narrated the script to him. Harman loved it, and instantly signed it. The movie will be produced under Excel Entertainment, a joint venture between Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.”

The source further adds, “The script revolves on friendship and is a realistic movie which shows a journey of friendship and life. Harman is the solo hero and is really excited about the project. He has been a hardcore admirer of Farhan’s films since Dil Chahta Hai.”

When approached on this matter, producer Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed, “Yes we were in talks with Harman.”

In related news, Harman will once again be working with his father, Harry Baweja (Love Story 2050). This flick is titled James N Bond and is an action-comedy. According to sources, “The movie will have three actors. It will be shot in India, Paris and New York. Currently, it is in the scripting process and the rest of the cast has to be finalised. Hrithik says no to Bhansali

Not so long ago most actors would have killed to be a part of a Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie. But the mercurial director it seems is finding it tough to get the right actors for his next film, yet another love triangle after Saawariya.

Bhansali who is very particular about the actors he casts had his heart set on signing Hrithik Roshan for his new venture. The two had been in talks and sources close to the developments say that the director had even sent Hrithik a copy of the bound script.

"Bhansali and Hrithik have always had cordial relations, and Bhansali has been in talks with him for three-fours years for various projects, but Hrithik is very particular when it comes to matters professional.

After Saawariya, Bhansali and Hrithik have been in talks, Hrithik even went to the director’s house for meetings, and just when everything seemed set, he backed out," says the source.

Hrithik who is at present in Mexico with his father Rakesh Roshan, shooting for his home-production Kites being directed by Anurag Basu, informed Bhansali two days ago that he would be unable to do the film. The reasons for declining the film are not known.

Unfortunately for the director, the other star on his wishlist for the second hero's role too has had second thoughts. Bhansali, our source reveals, had been in touch with his Saawariya hero Ranbir for the second hero's role but nothing went beyond initial discussions.

Right now, Ranbir is busy with Yash Raj Films' Bachna Ae Haseeno, Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Prakash Jha's Rajniti. He has also given dates for Karan Johar's next film (untitled) which leaves him with little time for his mentor's movie.

Both Hrithik and Bhansali remained unavailable for comment, but there is speculation about the future of the project. Remember how Bhansali who had set his heart on casting Ash and Salman had canned Bajirao Mastani because he couldn't get them to act together again?
