Kajol back with Ajay Devgan

Golmaal Returns is Ajay Devgan's biggest grosser till date yet the calm, composed and cool super actor is his usual self. Though he is very happy with the overwhelming response to the film, he is very much focused on his next directorial venture after U Me Aur Hum.

Devgan clarifies that the film should have gone on the floors but it is taking longer than expected. Reason? Well, Ajay wants his film to be technically perfect and on par with international standards, and these things take time. Ajay confirms that his wife, Kajol will once again star in the film and that there wont be too many characters in the film (ala RNBDJ; SRK too says that there are not many characters in the film!).

Devgan is hopeful that he wont make the same mistake that he made with (his debut directorial film) U Me Aur Hum, that of trying to play it safe in the first half and says that he wont hold back on his instincts.

Here's wishing the best to Ajay for his next!

Ajay Devgan announces Golmaal 3

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan is revelling the success of his comic caper Golmaal Returns and has announced part three in the series.

“Golmaal Returns has turned out to be one of the biggest films this year. I am thrilled to know that the film has collected more than Rs.34 crore (Rs.340 million) in just first five days of its release,” Ajay wrote on his blog.

“We are also proud to announce Golmaal 3. For the time being we all are enjoying the super success of Golmaal Returns before we start working towards the next one,” he added.

On the success of the film, Ajay said: "Kudos to Rohit Shetty and his team.”

Rohit Shetty added that Arshad Warsi will no longer be a part of the film. Ajay was in London for a while to shoot for Vipul Shah's London Dreams and he “canned two songs and a lot of scenes” for the film.

The actor's schedule is choc-a-bloc in the coming days. Soon he leaves for a 20-day-schedule for Toonpur Ka Superhero. And Sunday he visits the national capital along with his wife to flag off the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon.

Ajay Devgan's close shave with death while shooting in Thailand

Bollywood star Ajay Devgan escaped death while giving an action shot for a film near an island in Thailand - the weather suddenly changed and the chopper moving over him nearly lost control. He escaped unscathed, despite the helicopter blades whizzing inches from him.

He says he was shooting with other actors near Phi Phi Island. The action director Jack Gill had planned out a stunt in which the jet-ski chase was suppose to be shot from a chopper.

'Initially, as we started filming and moving around in the shallow waters, the waves were moderate... so we decided to move ahead in the deeper waters since the scene required a proper aerial view which should look like a chase from a top angle,' Ajay wrote on his blog www.ajaydevgan.net.

He was shooting with four other stuntmen.

'They were moving aggressively in the sea trying to give their best shots by manoeuvring with their cuts around me... The chopper was also hovering right above us and as close as possible to us to get better shots,' he added.

According to Ajay, all seemed to go well until they realised they were nearing another smaller rocky island called Maya Bay.

'Suddenly the weather started to change. The wind and the waves were trying to show us their stunts and our guys instantly thought of retreat.

'A sudden gust of strong wind hit me and next moment the chopper above us lost control and blades were so dangerously close to us that we could feel the strong whipping winds of our helicopter,' he described.

Ajay, who featured in several action movies including his debut vehicle 'Phool Aur Kaante' and 'Raju Chacha', says this incident will be etched in his mind for a long time.
