Mani Ratnam’s current in-production Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Ravana is in trouble, as the money is cut-back.“Mani was expecting to shoot the film on a lavish scale as Reliance Big Pictures were pumping in the money. But now that the world is under a financial crises, Reliance have told Mani that the cash will be considerably less than as previously said,” says a source.
The actual figures are not known, but insiders say that Mani will now only be getting Rs 60 crore, half of what he would have got initially.
Apart from Abhishek and Aishwarya, the film features Govinda, Vikram, Prabhu, Pritviraj, Karthi and Priyamani.
