Why Abbas Tyrewala fought on the sets

Ever since the release of Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na and its blockbuster success, everything seems to have been hunky-dory at the film's end. However, a lesser known fact is that during the making of the film, director Abbas Tyrewala had got into this huge argument around the costumes which his actors would have worn in the film. Apparently he got into lengthy debates with the film's costume designer Ashley Rebello before the final set of dresses was laid down.

As confirmed by Ashley it was a big fight. Just like any other conversation centered on creative decisions, Ashley and Abbas too got into this entire debate around the colour of clothing. For some strange reasons, Tyrewala wasn't really enthused about using blue colour in the clothes worn by Imraan and others. Perhaps he felt that it was too unconventional.

How did it all sort out then?

They kept on chatting around this and none of them were willing to buzz. They both seemed stuck and finally Abbas gave in.
