The first Tata Open All India Badminton Tournament was held in Bombay Gymkhana on Thursday. Deepika Padukone graced the occasion to pay tribute to her father, ace badminton champion Prakash Padukone, and played a friendly match against him. "I think the future of Indian Badmintton is very bright. And I wish all the badminton players all the best," the Bachna Ae Haseeno star said.
Soha Ali Khan, who claims to be a state level badminton player till class 10, too, played a friendly game against Deepika.
"I haven't played the game at such a professional level before. It was great fun because I’m a great fan of badminton," Soha said.
Though we may not see Deepika pick up the racket professionally, we sure look forward to seeing a few aces from the actress on the big screen.
