Top Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has revealed a near death experience that he went through when he was a young kid.Aamir was out at sea with his cousin Mansoor and his sister in a small sailboat. The sailboat could only accommodate three people and one of his friends was still waiting at the beach waiting to be picked up. It was then when Aamir hit upon the impossible idea — he jumped into the sea so that the boat can go back and pick up his friend.
Says Aamir about this foolish incident, “A little out at sea, I jumped off with a tyre around my waist and they turned around to fetch one from our group who was still on the beach. My mother does not know about this incident. I did not know how to swim and in hindsight it was perhaps a stupid thing to do. But, when I saw the boat going back, I felt really alone and at peace. I turned my back on the beach and looked out at the vast sea that stretched in front. It was as if I was one with nature. The fact that I could not swim did not bother me.”
